We make an enterprise tool with Magic.Link. The tool is on a public domain. To avoid leaking trade secrets in a public web app, we don't serve the primary web app until the user has already logged in. We have a separate login web app. So, there is no accumulated web app state to justify the user "switching back to the previous tab".
For this reason, some of our customers actually find it a bit annoying to switch back to the previous tab.
It would be cool if there was an option to redirect to the web app from the sign-in email. The redirect may need to include a header to authorize the sign-in, similar to the token returned by the magic link auth promise.
